LO2/C Packaging Food at the Houston Food Bank
A while back, my family planned to go volunteer at the Houston Food Bank. We decided we would go on the weekend so that it wouldn't interfere with our work week. So, once the weekend came along, we all got in the car and headed over to the Food Bank. Once we got there, we met with our group and the person that was going to be instructing us through this experience. Our leader then started telling us that we were going to be packing food in boxes for the community. With this being said, we were led to the back to start packing the boxes. The first thing we did was grab flat pieces of cardboard and make them into boxes. This was a challenging process because we had to fold and crease each piece of cardboard in order to make one box. Once some of the boxes were formed, we put them on a conveyor type belt. We would then pass the boxes down for people to put food in.
