LO1/A Skiing Jumps

A couple of days ago, I went skiing with my mom and brother in Telluride, Colorado. We left on Wednesday and came home on Monday. One of my favorite things to do when I was skiing was going on the ski jumps in the terrain park. In Telluride, there are three terrain parks where there are jumps. The first one is on a trail called Ute Park, where there are the smallest jumps. Then there is the lower part of a trail called Hootbrown, where there are the medium-sized jumps. Lastly, the upper part of Hootbrown is where the largest jumps are. By the end of the trip, I wanted to go on the largest jumps. With this being said, I began my journey to do the largest jumps by starting on the smallest jumps in Ute Park. Once I arrived at these small jumps, I immediately went off of them. My balance was good, and I didn't let my fear of falling get in the way of me doing the jump. I then moved on to the lower part of Hootbrown to do the medium-sized jumps. These jumps were 3x the size of the Ute Park jumps and much scarier. I decided to only go off the first one to see how I would do. Once I hit the jump, I cleared it and skied away. However, when I looked at the next jumps after the first one (there are three), they were all even larger. I realized that I probably wouldn't be able to go off these jumps yet. So, I kept on going off the first jump, until I felt comfortable doing the second and third medium-sized jumps. By the time I went off all of the medium-sized jumps, it was sadly time to go home. Next time, I will do the largest jumps.

As one can see, my strengths include my extremely good balance, my fearless attitude, and my work ethic. I was able to go off all of these jumps without tipping or falling due to my good balance, and I consistently kept doing the smaller jumps until I felt comfortable going off the medium-sized ones. Moreover, some of the areas of growth that I have developed are my ski jump skills. I was originally unable to go off of the smaller jumps, but by the end of my ski trip, I was able to go off of the medium-sized jumps.
